Additionally, Jana also serves individuals who have lived experiences with treatment centers, shelters for domestic violence, and individuals without homes. Jana helps people take steps moving forward; one of the steps is becoming employed by utilizing the curriculum that Jana developed; along with several soft skills courses.

In 2014 – 2015, Jana Fischer served as Program Director of Reentry Services for Stepping Ahead; developing a program with the philosophy that people can change; when people are taught, given hope, and are encouraged to practice living a healthier lifestyle!

In 2009 – 2014, Jana Fischer professionally served as the Program Manager of Prison Fellowship’s InnerChange Freedom Initiative (IFI) program at the Women’s Correctional Facility in Shakopee, MN under contract with the MNDOC.  Jana worked one-on-one and in group settings to help prepare women for reentry into society, family, and their local communities.

Jana coached, facilitated life skills courses, counseled, and built reentry plans that were individual to each woman’s needs.  Jana specializes in organizational infrastructure, training, facilitation, coaching, and human development.  Jana facilitated multiple small groups; team building, relationship building skills, circle processes around conflict resolution resulting in enhanced communication, resolving conflicts, and improving teamwork.
